On the day I received this dress, I had planned on staying home. I was sick. But then I received a phone call reminding me of a photo shoot that had been scheduled. I grabbed my Alchemy, added a bit of red lipstick, and was on my way. The pops of rust are a rush for the senses.

Dad was a miner up in the Sierras at one time, and when Mom and I would go visit him I'd rush to play in the creek that ran near where we'd stay. Of course the rocks looked amazing in the flowing water- less so when dry. Dad picked out a handful of specimens, cut them with his rock cutter and polished them for me! I still have those amazing bits of Sierras geology that Dad so lovingly brought home to me (always looking wet). Alchemy is strongly reminiscent of the colors and patterns of my little collection.

The fabric is beautiful and the colors really complete each other. Funny thing, I bought a Zuri dress 2 years ago and returned it because I didn’t think I had places to go to wear it. BUT, for the past two years my eyes and heart were always drawn to the fabrics so I gave it another try and I’m thrilled that I did.

If there were a rust coloured planet, Alchemy would represent it perfectly with its spectacular topographical design and orange highlights... I have been waiting for this Zuri since I saw a peek of this fabric... my amber necklace is a wonderful complement to this print, as are my otherworldly Fluevog Star Trek Cadet boots made for the latest version of the show 😉🥰🧡🖤

Brown but will work well in the summer, too, as a sleeveless. I go down a size for sleeveless.
