Meet our production partner, SOKO Kenya! Based in Kikambala on the Kenyan coast, they are an ethical manufacturer that truly embraces a fair, kind and transparent work culture. In order to create a batik fabric, recycled wax is melted and applied to the fabric using a stamped pattern. Edwina carves each stamped design herself in foam, which is easier to repurpose and work with than wood. Together with several women in Accra, Ghana, Edwina and her team always create designs that play on both pattern and layered color in a truly original way. Since we began working together in 2018, we've produced over 40 unique textiles together, keeping them in continuous production since we started. We're so honored to share this collaboration with Edwina and her team!

    My new favorite Zuri!

I just tried Zuri for the first time last April, and it escalated quickly. I’m completely hooked on these dresses!

Somehow, I didn’t have any green Zuris, so I had to try Before Sunset. And I am so glad I did! This may be my new favorite, though I do keep saying that as I acquire more lol

"Before Sunset," while Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay in early spring or during the "Summertime, When the Livin' is Easy"...anytime really is the right time to don this greenish, blueish, tealish queen of all things serene. Perhaps if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of her as she skips and shimmies alongside crashing ocean waves nearby. Wait, wait...are you talking about...a...dress? Why yes...but please be advised she is "THE ONE" dress. Uhhem...Maestro, queue Cee Lo Green's "The One" please.

Oh and yes...in case you missed it...I truly love this captivating and unique batik.

    Soooooo beautiful!

This dress is stunning. The colors are deep and rich. It’s been raining for days but hopefully you can see the deep teal, soft grey-blue, and pops of cream and white. Fits perfectly and I love it!
