This will be my dress for my granddaughter’s late August wedding. A little toning down of my usual Zuri choice and a lot of upgrade from my everyday old hippie practice of wearing the same things all the time until they fall apart. It has the flexibility I need for a wedding in the PNW mountains, where it might be cold, hot, or anything in between. It is beautiful and unusual but not girly. I usually wear this style as a duster, but got this one a size up to have the option of buttoning it up as an actual dress if that somehow seemed like a good idea. Zuri is wonderful for this 75 year old cis woman who never had super femme tastes, and I think these dresses would be great for folks across a wide part of the gender spectrum.

The colours in this dress are so beautiful - several shades of blue and green accented with ochre - and the pattern of wind-blown curlicues feels shadowed and bright and tumultuous and whimsical somehow all at once. And this outfit goes to show that with the right amount of layers even a sleeveless dress can anchor a fabulous look on one of the coldest days of winter!

I couldn’t wait for Melbourne’s warmer weather to arrive so that I could wear my new Zuri! This one has depth and although from a distance it looks dark, the teal/aquamarine spots really pop when you get closer. I love everything about this dress and once autumn arrives next March I’ll still be wearing it but with a cardigan or denim jacket.
