We started a bookclub! We're thrilled that the wonderful Ubax of Cheche Books in Nairobi will be leading it for us, and we can't wait to get started on her first selection! Cheche Books is a Pan-African feminist bookshop and community event space focusing on African and diaspora women writers.

For our inaugural meeting, we'll be reading We Do This 'Til We Free Us, by Mariame Kaba. Ubax will lead the discussion with Ruth Nyambura, a political ecologist and eco-feminist from Kenya who focuses on the intersections of gender, economy and ecological justice in the Global South.

Our first get-together via Zoom will be on Sunday, April 11th at 1PM EST (10AM PST). The discussion will last about an hour, but feel free to drop in or out! We'll all be on, and we'd love to see you! Please send us an email to get the Zoom link!

Wondering where to get a copy of the book? We'll have each book club selection available on our Bookshop, here

For those of you in Nairobi, Cheche will be offering a 10% discount on all Zuri book club selections!
