Thoughts on Palindrome
- sizing - I’m normally a 1x in the sleeved dresses and XL in sleeveless. The sizing differences are due to give across my upper arms. I’m VERY glad that folks pointed out the sleeve style and fit and that I got the XL. 1x would have definitely looked too big on me. I might have even been able to go to a L, but wouldn’t want to take the risk on it being too small.
- the cut and style of the arms allows the fabric to more away from the body, which is GREAT in humidity. The dress feels very airy and nothing is right against the arm pit.
- I fold the cuff in half just because I prefer the look of it that way. I fold the cuff up on my sleeveved dresses too.
- I think that the bigger hem area might be to more closely match the cuffs, but it might be to give a bit more weight to the hem. Because the material is lighter, the bigger hem might be for added weight to avoid the dreaded wardrobe malfunction!
Right now this feels like my most comfortable dress and I’m grateful for it in hot and humid weather.
I’m not a matchy-matchy person, but I changed purses the day before this pic and didn’t want to do so again and I realized that they matched too closely when I grabbed my bag!

I love the short sleeves and beautiful print! I usually take a large but the medium in this cut is perfect! It makes a great over jacket for a summer dress too!
