For me, this dress falls into the “serious” Zuri category—it’s one I can wear for official sorts of occasions (when I don’t want to be flamboyant!). The fabric is very soft and comfortable to wear, with a subtle, undulating (tambourine) pattern. You could say it’s an all-purpose dress! I love it!

This is a lighter weight dress than some, probably around the same weight as Waterlily and Propolis. It’s great on a warm spring day and I’m sure I’ll also be able to wear it into the summer season. It’s so versatile, with black high tops and jeans or black boots and a belt. The detail is gorgeous, especially the dark red dots. To me, it’s even better than expected from the photos on the website. It’s effortlessly carried me through some very high intensity meetings and helped me to keep my cool!

When I first received Tambourine, I could conceptually see the tambourines, but not really see them, until one evening at a family gathering. I was leaning over a table, helping my grandson draw, when my daughter said, "NOW I see the tambourines!" I asked her to take a picture and, sure enough, I could clearly see the rounded form of the instruments piled up over my nether region. Having s trompe- l'œil Zuri brings me much happiness!
