When I saw Cap-tivating in a Zuri preview I knew she'd join my collection. I see in her print so many references to my life-enjoyment preferences! I enjoy early b&w sci- fi movies, the really cheaply made kind with wobbly flying saucers being tossed across the set by stagehands off to the side. I grew up in San Francisco in the Sixties, where psychedelica was everywhere- posters, fabrics, Painted Ladies.....it was like a dream. And mushrooms, both medicinal and culinary- natural delights offered up by the earth. This remarkable Zuri celebrates these gentle icons from my days.

Some folks love the stiffer Zuri fabrics. I’m not one of them. So I’ll be washing this frequently to soften it up. The print and colors are SO cool! Kind of trippy. Perfect dress for certain kinds of events.

This space-age print is absolutely delightful! At first, I was put off by the stiffness of the fabric and nearly sent it back without even trying it on. Curiosity got the better of me, though—and I’m so glad it did. This is a very cool dress with mesmerizing, space-age mushrooms that truly grab your attention.
The background is a deep navy, and the floating rocket-ship mushrooms are vibrant, glowing yellow with hints of brown and green. While the fabric is definitely stiff and not drapey straight out of the bag, that structure actually works in its favor. With such a bold, graphic print, the stiffness helps showcase the design beautifully.
