I’m delighted to add my voice to the chorus of praise for Mariposa, the symphony of purple and pink that I have renamed “octopus scrolls” in honor of its pattern. This dress fits and flatters just as I hoped, with enough heft to layer in December for a meetup with a friend (and fellow Zuri convert) here in Fukuoka, Japan!

This print is so gorgeous and I’m thankful I was able to try it! I looooove the purples and pinks along with the mosaic design. Nice mid-heavy fabric weight, too. My only complaint is it is so hard to get size small in long lengths. I’m trying to make standard work with something underneath, but if I lift my arms, the hem rises to a dicey location. 😅 For us tall people it would be so amazing if even just 1-2 more in tall were made in each size. They must be popular because there are not many small long left in any fabric right now on the website.

Mariposa is a very pretty Zuri, with both a pleasing palette and pattern. Adding to it's charm is the meaning of "Mariposa"- butterfly, in Spanish. Every time I see this special dress I imagine the pattern is a representation of a wandering butterfly's pathway through a garden. Mariposa is delightful to wear and share with the world.
