We're really proud to be working with Sasha, India's oldest fair trade cooperative to source ethically grown linen and cotton and to work with their experienced weavers in West Bengal to make these textiles. Learn more about these fabrics here!
Woven by India's oldest certified fair-trade artisanal weaving cooperative in West Bengal, these textiles are a dream! Each fabric is a hand-loomed blend of cotton and linen. We chose this blend for two reasons: 1) to create subtle texture and movement within the weave; and (more practically) 2) so that your shirts and dresses will be super easy to wash and wear, as they'll be more wrinkle resistant, more durable, and drape a bit heavier when worn. (While the fabric was produced in India, the dresses were all proudly stitched in Kenya by our team.)

Zuri linens are great. Light for summer and easily layer-able when it gets cooler. I particularly love this blue as it goes with so many things. The linens seem to have less give than the cottons, so while I fit Ms and Ls, I always choose L for linen.

You can't capture the beautiful color of this dress in photos! It was easy to style for a colder December day (by Southern US standards) with tights, riding boots, and an obi belt. I can't wait to wear it with fun necklaces and sandals when it warms up.
Sizing: It felt a little tight in the shoulders when I tried it on and moved my arms around, but then I realized that I rarely move my arms like that in normal life! When I wore the dress it felt just right.

The deep blue color in this Midnight linen dress can be easily layered with other Zuri dresses. I've layered it with the Sugar Rush dress in these photos. Will try layering Midnight with the Call Waiting sleeveless dress in the future.

Such a rich hue, dark blue with a lovely purple undertone. I love wearing Zuri linens over my sleeveless dresses that would otherwise need to wait for the summer to roll around again. Goes with lots & lots of things

The linen feels wonderful, and the color is a very deep, rich cobalt--a few steps before navy blue. It's one of those dresses you could wear anywhere, dress it up or down. What more can I say? I love wearing it!
