Meet our production partner, SOKO Kenya! Based in Kikambala on the Kenyan coast, they are an ethical manufacturer that truly embraces a fair, kind and transparent work culture. In addition to paying above living wages, SOKO provides employees with paid leave and stipends for family emergencies, free pre-primary childcare for all employees with children from ages 2-4, daily mid-morning tea and midday lunch, and clear, outlined processes for job advancement. When we say 100% Made in Kenya, we really mean it! Made from cotton grown in western Kenya and designed, printed and stitched outside of Nairobi, it doesn't get more local than this! The ecosystem for rotary printed fabrics is complex and truly global. While it's rare to see a rotary printed textile produced in a closed-circuit, farm-to-shop supply chain, the fabrics we're producing are verifiably 100% made in Kenya. Not just traceable, but local. Not just identifiable, but ethical and accountable.
Our production impacts hundreds of smallholder farmers and their families each year. It impacts young Kenyan artists whose voices and work may now have a slightly bigger audience (and fan club:) ). It impacts the Kenyan textile manufacturing industry, which for years has been out-competed in the local market by imported fabrics. Finally, it impacts you, because you can know that your dress was made ethically, honestly, and with pride.

I see that this shirt has almost sold out and I’m not surprised! It’s a bold, brilliant green highlighted by adorable royal blue and purple snails. Rebecca Wood is one of my favorite Zuri designers and she doesn’t disappoint here! If this shirt sells out, try the same print in a sleeveless dress: perfect for summer!

Recently on a business trip to OR, I received so many compliments on my shirt, I had to smile. A pen exploded on the sleeve and I was so sad until I soaked overnight in water and hand soap and it completely disappeared!

I really like this combination of blue green and indigo with little spots of white. It is a thinner fabric than some other prints — the fabric is also printed only on one side.

This shirt has a beautifully designed snail image on a brilliant green background, with purple, blue & tiny white accents... it is joyful in a fairly lightweight fabric that is suitable for year-round wear or as a jacket over a tank top or T-shirt... an absolute gem.

I love the ultra vivid combo of bright blue and green which really pop! Fun pattern of snail motifs that also can look like peacock feathers from far away because of the color palette. I love that the background is filled with slightly wavy lines to give the appearance of texture and movement. 🐌💙💚 I opted to purchase this print in the shirt because I get more wear out of the shirts year round compared to the sleeveless dresses but you really can’t go wrong with either. Thank you Zuri for bringing back more “noun” prints!
